What courage means to me.....

What courage means to me is when a person is completely selfless. Courage isn't about being a bodybuilder full of muscles, It's using those muscles to do something of value. Like save a kitten from a bad situation or rescue a person from a burning building. Courage is the ability to do something selfless without thinking about it. It is what can differentiate a persons character, whether they have courage in life, or hide behind a mask.     Courage is the ability to stand up in front of a class and make a speech. No matter how bad you want to give up or hide, you just stand there and do your thing. Another example of courage to me is when , no matter the consequence, you tell the truth. No matter how bad you want to hide something , you just have to be courageous and do what's right.

A place you have never been to, but want to go.....

A place that I have never been to and want to go is Ireland. I've always wanted to go to Ireland since I was a little girl. All the pictures of the beautiful countryside and landscape always seemed so inviting. There are farms, wild animals, and all sorts of interesting things. I think that I would just feel so at home in a place like that. The rolling green hills are just so beautiful.     Another place I have never been and want to go is France. All of scenery seems to be so romantic. The Eifel Tower, the starry skies at night, and the gondola rides just amaze me. The people that live there must have such a wonderful time. All of the buildings are so elegant. The ceilings are decorated with million dollars worth of artwork or stained glass. Plus, everything there seems like such an adventure because some places are only accessible by boat or by walkways.

TV shows you like or dislike.....

A tv show that I like Is 13 Reasons Why. I like the show because it addresses a lot of issues that are happening with the younger generation today with bullying. It is a show about what teenage children go through in high school, from the name calling to witnessing things that you really don't want to. It explains the consequences of what happens when a person is pushed too far and can't take it anymore. And I believe that they could have not done it any better. Making all the bullies listen to what they did and feel the hurt that she felt was the best part.     Another tv show I like is Pretty Little Liars. The show started off as a high school girl that disappeared and then was found "dead". The clique of girls in the story are all keeping secrets and they all manage to keep them close but distanced all at the same time. They start receiving texts form their "dead" friend exposing all of their secrets one at a time and start making up more lies to cov

No one would believe me when....

No one would believe me when I would tell them that I went to Las Vegas, Nevada. They had such a hard time believing that someone like me that grew up with next to nothing would do something like that. My husband and I grew up in very small towns and the people in them never do anything. When we went to Las Vegas, I got to see so many awesome things. The people in the area were the best part though. They were so comfortable with the chaos that caused my chest to hurt at times.     Another thing no one would believe me about would be when I tell them that I am pregnant. I joke with my mother all the time because for the last 10 years, my siblings and I have given her 1 new grandchild a year. So every time I go to her house,  I tell her I'm pregnant. Although not completely impossible, my tubes are tied. So although a possibility, it's never gonna happen.

If you could meet anybody famous, dead or alive, who would it be?

If I could meet anybody famous, dead or alive, it would have to be Janis Joplin. She was an awesome singer and performer. She had not a care in the world and actually sang about real life events. Janis embrassed the hippie lifestyle and was a naturalist. I definitely missed my calling and was born in the wrong decade. Another person I would like to meet would be Jim Carrey. I grew up watching his films. I think in real life he would be a hillarious person to talk to. I mean, imagine having a conversation with Ace Ventura or the guy off of Liar Liar. Some of their personalities coincide, so you know alot of it comes from his own personality. Just grab a few drinks and laugh the night away.

Something people usually don't notice about me is....

Something people usually don't notice about me is that I am a very strange person. I love the strange and unorthodox things. I love the fact that I am so random, and people don't expect that when they first meet me. At first glance, I seem relatively normal, but in all reality, I am cracking jokes and laughing my hind end off in my head at the most random things. I can turn a completely boring activity into an awesome activity with a couple jokes and a smile. Another thing people don't notice about me is that I'm a very outdoorsy person. I may fix my hair and do my make-up, but I would rather be in the woods. I like to ride four- wheelers, hunt, and play in the mud. I think the outdoors are so tranquil. You can relax, camp, get dirty, and so much more.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

In 20 years I'd like to be a doctor, or at least a registered nurse in a hospital setting somewhere. I have always known I wanted to be in the healthcare profession. I was never sure of how far I wanted to go until I started school. The more I learn, the more I want to learn. It jas always amazed me. And medicine is constantly changing so there is always more to learn. Another reason I see myself in the healthcare profession is because I love to help people. Growing up watching my mother work every position in the field made me interested. And going to work with her over the years has made me love the profession even more . There is just something so rewarding about helping people and I love it.

Why do you believe people don't exercise their right to vote?

I think some people don't exercise their right to vote because they don't know who to vote for. There are so many politicians running for so many different branches of office. It makes it very confusing. I think another reason is because they don't know how to go about voting or where to vote. I also believe that they should advertise voting on more up-to-date media outlets. Not a lot of people have the chance to watch t.v.   Another reason I believe people don't vote is because the politicians spend more time degrading their competitors than informing people what their intentions are. The politicians are so worried about telling you all the wrongdoings of everybody else. I think they have completely forgot what being in office is really about

Things to do when you are bored is......

Things to do when you are bored is listen to music, go four-wheeling, take a walk, read a book, or in my case, do house chores. I love listening to music because no matter what you are feeling or going through in life, there is a song for that. Another thing to do is ride a four-Wheeler. Just go out into the middle of the woods, and listen to the sounds of wildlife. Or you could simply go for a walk. It gives you time to reflect on things and maybe see new things you don't notice when riding in a car. Also, you could read a book. Sometimes you feel like you could almost escape reality. Some authors have a special skill of making you feel like you are actually there in the moment. Last, but not least, cleaning. I have a 9 and 10 year old and a husband that keeps me in enough work to stay busy for weeks. Between the three of them, I don't get much down time.

My hero is......

My hero would have to be my mother. She practically raised her 5 children and my 4 cousins by herself. My father was a very bad alcoholic, so not much help came from him. She is a very headstrong, independent, and self-motivated person. I've seen her open up the cabinets, where I thought there was no food, and pull out a 3 course meal. There isn't anything I don't think she can't do. Another reason she is my hero is because there is no one in the world I would rather look up to. She has worked for everything she has had in life, and nothing has ever came easy for her. Although she may have struggled, she always put on a smile and never let us kids see.

What my best friend and I have in common is.....

What my best friend and I have in common is our love for the outdoors. She will take her dogs and I will take mine and we will walk for hours. We check out the natural springs coming out of the hillside and the different flowers. Some of the prettiest flowers I have ever picked have been from the most unexpected places. Another thing we have in common is that we both love “ our spot “ on Aarden river. Every spring, as soon as the weather breaks, we take our families out on that amazing, white, sandy beach. Something you definitely don't expect to see in the middle of the woods in West Virginia. We swim our kids across the river to the deep spots so they can jump off the rocks. Aarden is like heaven on earth to me.

What I would like to receive for Christmas is…..

What I would like to recieve for Christmas is the same thing I get every year, family time. Every Christmas, we wake up and go to my father-in-law's house so my children can open their gifts. We hang out with all my husband's brothers, sister, and father. Luke, my father-in-law, always cooks a huge lunch and we all sit around the table and reminisce and spend time with neices and nephews. Then, we go to my mother's house. All 7 of my mom's kids, including myself, gather at her house for the rest of the night. We laugh, cry, drink, and eat a huge dinner. It is a little chaotic, but she wouldn't have it any other way. Between all of us kids, our significant others, and children, there are 22 of us.

Name two restaurants you like and dislike

Myself, the two restaurants I like are Texas Roadhouse and Olive Garden. Texas Roadhouse would have to be one of my choices because I love the comfort food that they serve. No fancy garnishes or menu items that I can't pronounce, just good food. Olive Garden would be one of them because of the healthier dinner options. You get fresh salads, amazing pasta, and homemade bread. The two restaurants I hate the most are McDonalds and Grand China Buffet. McDonalds is nasty because of the immense amount of grease on your food. Your buns are soggy on the burgers and the fries are almost flammable because the are soaked in so much grease. Grand China Buffet would have to be on the hate list because of never knowing what is on the buffet. Is it chicken or cat? We Will never know. And are those really frog legs? Not for me. I shouldn't have to guess At what I'm eating.

The best book I've ever read was.....

The best book I've ever read I can't even remember the name of. It was by an author named Sydney Sheldon. It was about a woman with multiple peraonality disorder who had no idea of it. Not only that, but she would kill and castrate men. The book then goes on into her being caught and going to a grand jury trial for the murders. The book felt so real. It actually felt like I was one of the jurors on the stand. In the book, they had all kinds off health and psychological professionals testifying that multiple peraonality disorder wasn't real. All at the same time, the woman being tried for the crimes is scared to death because she has no idea what is going on and why she is there. It wasn't until she actually changed personas in the middle of the trial, one of her other personalities confessed and told the court that she had no idea someone else was driving her body. At the end of the story, surprisingly, they found her not guilty.

The most amazing thing I've ever seen is......

The most amazing I've ever seen is watching the birth of my niece. Witnessing a new life being brought into this world is one of the most precious moments in life. To realize how delicate, how fragile, how tiny. Although I have children of my own, I wasn't able to see or experience like I did that day. Even though not all aspects of childbirth are glorious and beautiful. There is a little bit of ugly with the whole process, but I couldn't imagine anything quite as amazing as it was that day. She was healthy. She was happy. And most of all, she was welcomed into this world by a huge loving family.

If you won the WV lottery what would you buy?

Winning the West Virginia lottery would be so amazing. I would probably spend every bit of it in a short amount of time. Finishing paying off my house and putting a new roof on it. Then, I would finish paying off my mother and brothers houses so they didn't have to stress over paying their mortgages anymore. And then I would make sure every other sibling would have a nice place to live. Finally, of course, I would have to spoil the daylights out of my kids. I would buy anything and everything they ever wanted and needed and then finish building the tree house in my back yard. Then my family and I would go on vacation. Somewhere fun like Hawaii or Italy.
